“ Sitio espectacular, el cocido es una autentica maravilla, el mejor que he probado, y he comido unos cuantos. El lugar es muy acogedor, tuvimos la suerte de poder reservar en el patio interior y era precioso, una decoración muy tradicional, te sientes como si estuvieras comiendo en casa. Por último y lo que considero más importante, el trato de los dueños, es impecable, son muy cercanos y sobretodo muy atentos y amables. En resumen un sitio de 10: comida deliciosa, grandes cantidades, sitio precioso y personal excelente. Repetiré y lo recomiendo a todo aquel que pase por Astorga y quiera comerse un auténtico cocido maragato con sus natillas de postre. ”
“ Buenísimo y muy bien atendidos. Primero ponen los garbanzos y carne y después la sopa pero puedes pedirlo junto. El vino me gustó también y lo que sobró nos lo dieron en un tupper con más caldo aún. Así da gusto, además el pueblo es precioso. Mejor reservar si vas en festivo. Repetiremos, espero que pronto! ”

“ AUTHENTIC PLACE FOR "COCIDO MARAGATO" and other meat-heavy dishes (e.g. "chuletón"). Cocido maragato is served in the inverse order of cocido madrileño: it starts with the meat and ends with the soup. Other than that, the two cocidos are simila (the maragato seems to have a tendency towards more types of meat and fewer types of vegetables). Everything at La Magdalena is excellently prepared. The portions are massive; we finished maybe half of it. (You can ask the waiters to put the rest in a box to take home.) The price is cheap for what you get: €16,50 per person, drinks not included. After lunch, a digestive walk through the scenic village is almost mandatory. ”
